Neither one was looking at their local grocery store
But history says you’ll find it when you look no more
Tho’ I know that God is with us… sometimes it seems we stand in line
But when eyes met eyes across the aisle, Nearly stopping time

At first he thought she’d blown him off in just her sweatshirt and some jeans
With just one look he knew she could do or be anything
She did herself some checking (too) from behind a trashy book
From his groceries to his fancy clothes, she stole her share of looks

She walked to the door (he was looking at movies) he was looking for sign (she said) definitely buy the one in your hand tho’ she’d never seen it
Some kind of metaphor for life and love it seems
Though they never watched the movie, they created their own… Their own romantic dream

The dream began to take shape biking backroads way up high
Where they found their happy place in a Utah summer sky
As the first snow in Yellowstone came down so serene
Every trip the best yet in their romantic dream…

From the top of a mountain with fireworks below
Viewing from that vantage all the color and the glow
But straight up and above them in the darkness and the stars
With God up there and in them, they won’t (have to) travel very far to find

This couple they did travel to where the astors shine so bright
Love and stars were shining on the sweetest August night
Up a path lit with candles from God and from their friends
On his knee he pledged a loving story that would never end

They talked through the night: they didn’t have to say a thing
Like you can lean on me as our dream becomes a sweet… a sweet reality
